These are KitCut's own terms, as its Invite friends page states them. KitCut may change or end invitations; minutes already received are kept until they expire.
What a KitCut invite is worth
A KitCut film is charged by its length. The free plan gives 30 seconds a month, enough for one short ad. An invite's 2 minutes is four more of those, or two 60-second explainers, and they last a year rather than a month.
If you go on to subscribe, the invite also adds half again to your first paid month, up to 10 minutes. That part only applies within 30 days of joining.
How to use a KitCut invite link
- Pick an invite link on the board and open it - every one is shown in full, no sign-up here needed.
- Sign up on the KitCut page the link opens. It shows a note saying who invited you - that is how you know the invite is attached.
- Make your first film. The 2 minutes arrive, for you and for them, the moment it is finished, and you both get an email.
- If you are signed in here, tell us whether it worked. Two reports that a link did nothing take it off the board.
Sharing your own link
Your link is in the Invite friends section of your KitCut account page. Paste the whole link on the submit page and it is shown to everyone who visits this board. KitCut pays the sharer's 2 minutes for up to twenty friends, and every friend still gets theirs after that.
A friend who subscribes earns you a one-time bonus as big as their plan, up to 10 minutes, 14 days after their first payment if the plan is still renewing. That bonus has no limit on the number of friends.
KitCut referral terms, limits and who is eligible
- New accounts only. Someone who already has a KitCut account cannot join through a link.
- Sign up within 30 days of opening the link. If you open several people's links, the last one counts.
- The 2 minutes arrive when your first film is finished, or at your first payment if that comes first. A film that fails or is stopped does not count.
- Your own second address earns nothing - KitCut treats Gmail dots, + aliases and disposable addresses as the same person - and a sign-up from the same network or browser as the inviter is checked by hand first, usually within a day or two.
- The first-month boost needs a Standard or Pro subscription within 30 days of joining, and is at most 10 minutes.
- If a payment is refunded or disputed, what it earned is taken back, for both sides.
- Invitation minutes have no cash value, cannot be transferred and last 365 days.
- Nothing is redeemed on this site. Every rule above is KitCut's.
